A 92-FOOT, 135-TON OCEANGOING KETCH, THE SHERE KHAN WAS BUILT TO THE MOST EXACTING SPECIFICATIONS BY NEW ZEALAND'S HIGHLY REGARDED ROYAL YACHT YARD. No EXPENSE WAS SPARED, RESULTING IN ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE YACHT BUILDER'S ART AFLOAT TODAY.

UNDER SAIL, SHE PERFORMS IMPRESSIVELY, ATTAINING SPEEDS OF OVER TEN KNOTS. WHEN THE WIND FAILS, HER 360-HORSEPOWER DIESEL WILL DELIVER YOU THERE ON TIME AT THE SAME TEN KNOTS.

The pilothouse, with leather I sofa and card table, is a most agreeable place to sit and view the coastline through large picture windows.

Farther forward and below is an elegant separate saloon. Its large easy chairs, ottoman, video facilities, and full wet bar with fridge and icemaker make it a particularly inviting setting.

As spacious below decks as a motor yacht of comparable length, this beautiful sailing vessel offers the discerning guest a degree of comfort and elegance second to none. She is tastefully decorated, superbly finished in teak and New Zealand Kauai wood, and fully air-conditioned.

The SHERE KHAN accommodates six guests in three luxurious staterooms appointed with designer fabrics. Two have double beds and a third has large twin berths. The master stateroom even has a walk-in cedar closet.

Ensuite bathrooms are enriched by Italian travertine marble.

Polished brass sinks with charming tiger's-head faucets hint at the SHERE KHAN's namesake, the proud tiger of Rudyard  Killing's well-loved jungle stories.

On deck, the SHERE KHAN wide open spaces invite you to indulge in complete relaxation in the sunshine, while the fully covered cockpit offers a perfect retreat from the sun and a delightful spot for alfresco dining.

When it's time for some swimming or snorkeling, the hydraulically controlled swim platform makes getting on and off especially easy.

The SHERE KHAN is specially outfitted for fishing As we sail between the islands, deep sea trolling lines can be set for the dorado, wahoo, and tuna that roam the deep channels. Inshore, the lighter rods come out for snapper and the many other species found along the coast.
